Get to Know the Owner

Olasunkanmi “Michael” Abiodun, MBA, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a multi-state-licensed practitioner with more than 15 years of experience. He completed his Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. Michael has rich experience in a wide variety of psychiatric settings, including outpatient, inpatient, substance use/addiction medicine, rural/underserved areas, and correctional facilities.

Michael graduated from Lehman College – City University of New York with a dual bachelor’s degree in biology and economics. He earned an MBA from Hawaii Pacific University – Honolulu, Hawaii. He earned his BSN degree from the University of Texas – Medical Branch at Galveston. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, he specializes in child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric mental health.

Michael is perspicacious; his approach is to address the root cause of each mental disorder. Michael believes that every human being is a uniquely precious entity, and he demonstrates this inherent belief in his interactions with patients! He is also a fitness/nutrition and health enthusiast; he understands how a healthy lifestyle (or lack of it) invariably influences our mental health. He seeks to promote total health and wellness – the process of enabling patients to have increased control and management of their health. As a clinician, Michael’s goal is to enhance emotional, social/relational, environmental, physical, occupational, intellectual, and spiritual wellness – while judiciously utilizing pharmacotherapy and/or psychotherapy.
